STEAM eSports

STEAM eSports is a program of SYD’s, and it’s based on the eSports 2.0 industry where indie games are played in a competitive format in either 1vs1 or team vs team. We have an integrated and engaging fun program where our participants (usually ages 7+ in after-school clubs) will design their games, build (using tools like Unity), present their games to coaches and league teams, and compete by playing those newly created games. This program will empower participants to use STEAM, learn the business of game design, development/publishing, and learn more about the eSports industry while attaining transferrable marketable skills. The goals of our program are to improve literacy, math scores, and kids’ social and emotional behaviors, inspire kids into STEM careers, and galvanize teamwork, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Whereas STEAM XR Sports is our premiere platform for gamified curriculum and solutions, STEAM eSports is our club program for students to join and compete in.
